Description:
SN 180 Group II is a hydrotreated paraffinic base oil produced in Turkmenistan, refined from high-quality local crude using advanced hydroprocessing technologies. With its mid-light viscosity, excellent oxidative stability, and ultra-low sulfur content, SN 180 is ideal for blending automotive and industrial lubricants that require cleaner performance and longer service life. It provides enhanced additive response and is compatible with Group II and Group III base stocks.

Production Process:

  • Hydrotreating: Deep saturation of aromatic compounds and desulfurization for improved chemical and thermal stability

  • Isodewaxing: Enhances low-temperature flow properties

  • Hydrofinishing: Ensures high color quality, oxidative resistance, and product consistency

Key Technical Properties (Typical Values):

  • Viscosity @ 100°C: ~5.0–5.8 cSt

  • Viscosity Index (VI): 105–120

  • Flash Point (COC): >220°C

  • Pour Point: -12°C to -18°C

  • Color (ASTM D1500): L0.5–L1.0 (clear to water-white)

  • Sulfur Content: ≤ 0.03%

  • Saturates: ≥ 90%

  • Oxidation Stability: Excellent

  • Volatility: Low, suitable for high-temperature and emission-sensitive applications

Benefits:

  • High purity and oxidative resistance for cleaner, longer-lasting lubricants

  • Superior cold start protection and low pour point for cold climates

  • Enhanced additive compatibility and response

  • Environmentally friendly with low sulfur content

  • Consistent quality, ideal for precise blending and multi-grade formulations

Applications:

  • Automotive Lubricants: Passenger car and light-duty engine oil formulations (when used with additive packages)

  • Industrial Lubricants: Hydraulic oils, turbine oils, compressor oils

  • Metalworking Fluids: Where clarity and oxidative resistance are key

  • Gear and Transmission Oils: Suitable for light gear and manual transmission oils

  • Process Oil Component: Can be used to adjust viscosity and stability in custom blends

Packaging Options:

  • Available in bulk, flexitanks, 200-liter drums, or IBCs (totes)

  • Export documentation and custom packaging available upon request

Compliance & Standards:

    • Conforms to API Group II base oil classification

    • Suitable for use in lubricant formulations targeting API SN/SP, ILSAC GF-6, or ACEA performance levels, when properly blended with approved additive packages

    • Compatible with Group I and Group III base stocks for flexibility in formulation
