4cSt
Description:
Group III – 4 cSt is a light viscosity, synthetic-grade base oil manufactured through severe hydrocracking and hydroisomerization of high-quality paraffinic crude. With a viscosity of approximately 4 centistokes at 100°C, this ultra-pure base stock combines high viscosity index, exceptional oxidative stability, and low volatility, making it ideal for modern passenger car motor oils, transmission fluids, and low-viscosity industrial lubricants. Its excellent cold-flow behavior and thermal resistance support demanding formulations that meet or exceed the latest API SP, ILSAC GF-6, and OEM performance standards.
Production Process:
-
Severe Hydrocracking & Hydroisomerization: Ensures high saturate content and removes sulfur and aromatics
-
Hydrofinishing: Refines color, clarity, and long-term stability
-
Precise Fractionation: Guarantees consistent viscosity control for blending accuracy
Key Technical Properties (Typical Values):
-
Kinematic Viscosity @ 100°C: ~3.8–4.3 cSt
-
Viscosity Index (VI): ≥ 120 (often 125–135)
-
Flash Point (COC): >210°C
-
Pour Point: -24°C to -30°C
-
Color (ASTM D1500): L0.5 (water-clear)
-
Sulfur Content: ≤ 0.03%
-
Saturates: ≥ 90%
-
Oxidation Stability: Excellent
-
