Description:
PAO 100 cSt is an ultra-high-viscosity synthetic base oil from the Group IV (Polyalphaolefin) family, manufactured via the polymerization of linear alpha-olefins (commonly 1-decene). Designed for the most demanding lubricant applications, PAO 100 offers exceptional film strength, thermal stability, and oxidative resistance combined with a very high viscosity index. This base oil is ideal for specialty lubricants, including heavy-duty greases, industrial gear oils, and high-load hydraulic fluids, where superior protection under extreme pressure and temperature conditions is required.

Production Process:

  • Oligomerization of Alpha-Olefins: Produces uniform synthetic hydrocarbon chains with controlled molecular weight

  • Hydrogenation: Saturates molecules for enhanced chemical and thermal stability

  • Fractionation: Ensures precise viscosity specification and product consistency

  • Kinematic Viscosity @ 100°C: ~95–105 cSt

  • Kinematic Viscosity @ 40°C: ~850–950 cSt

  • Viscosity Index (VI): ~140–150

  • Flash Point (COC): >280°C

  • Sulfur Content: 0%

  • Saturates: ~100%

  • Volatility (NOACK): Very low
