Infineum D3453

Infineum D3453 is a high-performance additive package developed by Infineum for the formulation of premium heavy-duty diesel engine oils. Designed for use with approved base stocks and suitable viscosity modifiers, Infineum D3453 enables the formulation of engine oils meeting API CI-4, CH-4, and ACEA E7 performance requirements, while also supporting API SL performance for gasoline engines where mixed-fleet operation is required.

Recommended Dosage

Typical treat rates range from 11.2% to 12.2% by weight, depending on the target performance specification, viscosity grade, approved base oil selection, and formulation requirements. Suitable viscosity modifiers should be incorporated as required to achieve the desired SAE viscosity grade.

Blending and Storage

• Blend with approved base oils and compatible viscosity modifiers under controlled manufacturing conditions
• Avoid localized overheating during blending and storage
• Recommended maximum heating temperature: 120 °C (250 °F) using self-limiting heating systems
• Minimum loading/unloading temperature: 55 °C (131 °F)
• Maximum loading/unloading temperature: 65 °C (149 °F)
• Maximum storage temperature: 60 °C (140 °F)
• Do not reheat above 70 °C (158 °F)
• Protect from contamination and follow standard lubricant additive handling practices
