Description:
J0050 is a solid viscosity index improver (VII) based on ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR), polymerized from ethylene and propylene monomers. This product appears as a white, transparent colloid and remains solid at room temperature. It is primarily used in the formulation of medium-grade internal combustion engine oils, where it delivers enhanced viscosity-temperature performance, improved low-temperature fluidity, and excellent shear stability.
J0050 provides reliable thickening power, good thermal and oxidative stability, and seamless compatibility with other functional lubricant additives, including detergents, dispersants, ZDDP, antioxidants, and pour point depressants. Its performance characteristics make it an ideal choice for multigrade engine oil formulations that require consistent viscosity control under varying operating conditions.
