HiTEC® 343 is a high-performance additive package developed by Afton Chemical for the formulation of automotive gear oils. It is designed to meet the demanding requirements of manual transmissions, differentials, and axles, delivering outstanding extreme pressure (EP) protection, wear resistance, and oxidation stability. HiTEC® 343 supports API GL-4 and GL-5 specifications and is compatible with a wide range of base oils.
This additive package offers excellent rust and corrosion inhibition while maintaining gear and bearing cleanliness under severe operating conditions. It enables the production of both monograde and multigrade gear oils suitable for passenger cars, light trucks, and commercial vehicles.

Recommended Dosage

Blending and Storage
- Blend at temperatures up to 65–70 °C with proper agitation
- Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area
- Protect from moisture and contamination
- Shelf life: 24 months when stored in original sealed packaging under recommended conditions
