HiTEC® 3435A – CVT Fluid Additive Package

HiTEC® 3435A is a high-performance additive package developed by Afton Chemical for the formulation of premium-quality Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) fluids. Specifically engineered for use in both belt- and chain-driven CVT systems, this package delivers the optimal balance of frictional stability, anti-shudder durability, wear protection, and oxidative resistance required by modern passenger vehicle transmissions.

Compatible with Group II and Group III base stocks, HiTEC® 3435A enables formulators to meet a wide range of OEM performance requirements. It is ideal for applications demanding smooth torque transfer, enhanced durability, and extended drain intervals. The additive’s balanced chemistry ensures strong metal-to-metal friction control while maintaining excellent component protection under severe temperature and pressure conditions.

Recommended Dosage
Typical treat rates range from 11.0% to 13.0% by weight, depending on base oil selection and targeted OEM performance standards. Final dosage should be verified through formulation testing and OEM bench test data.

Blending and Storage

• Blend at temperatures up to 70 °C with sufficient agitation
• Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area
• Avoid contact with moisture and reactive chemicals
• Shelf life: 24 months in original, sealed packaging under recommended storage conditions

HiTEC® 3435A is supplied in 200 kg net weight drums. Bulk supply may be available based on customer and regional requirements.
