Infineum D1219 is a high-performance additive package developed by Infineum for the formulation of automotive diesel and mixed-fleet engine oils. Designed for use with non-dispersant viscosity modifiers in Group I and Group II base oils, Infineum D1219 supports the formulation of engine oils meeting API CF-4/CD/SG performance levels. The package can also be rationalized to formulate lower API performance categories, while TBN boosters may be incorporated where higher finished-oil alkalinity is required.

Formulated for demanding engine applications, Infineum D1219 provides excellent wear protection, soot dispersancy, oxidation stability, and piston cleanliness, making it suitable for both diesel and mixed-fleet lubricants. Its balanced additive technology enables the formulation of monograde and multigrade engine oils that deliver dependable protection under severe operating conditions while maintaining engine cleanliness and long service life.

Performance Features

  • Supports formulation of engine oils meeting API CF-4/CD/SG performance levels
  • Can be rationalized to formulate lower API performance categories
  • Suitable for use with non-dispersant viscosity modifiers
  • Compatible with Group I and Group II base oils
  • Provides excellent wear protection and oxidation resistance
  • Excellent soot dispersancy and sludge control
  • Promotes piston cleanliness and deposit control
  • TBN boosters may be used to increase the finished oil TBN where required
  • Suitable for formulations meeting MB-Approval 227.0/227.1 and ACEA E1-96, depending on formulation and viscosity grade

Applications

  • Heavy-duty diesel engine oils
  • Mixed-fleet engine oils
  • Commercial vehicle lubricants
  • On-highway and off-highway diesel engines
  • Monograde and multigrade engine oil formulations using Group I and Group II base stocks

Recommended Dosage

Typical treat rates vary according to the target performance level and viscosity grade:

  • 7.5 wt% – API SG/CF-4/CF/CD
  • 7.2 wt% – API SG/CF/CD
  • 6.8 wt% – API SF/CF/CD
  • 5.1 wt% – API SF/SE/CC
  • 3.4 wt% – API SF/CC
  • 2.8 wt% – API SE/CC
  • 2.6 wt% – API SD/CC
  • 2.3 wt% – API SC/CC

For API SG/CF-4/CF/CD SAE 10W-30 formulations, 1.6 wt% Infineum C9268 is additionally required alongside the 7.5 wt% treat rate.

Blending and Storage

  • Blend with approved Group I or Group II base oils and suitable non-dispersant viscosity modifiers.
  • Avoid localized overheating, particularly where agitation is not available.
  • Use electrical, steam, or hot-oil heating systems with a self-limiting maximum temperature not exceeding 120 °C (250 °F).
  • Minimum loading/unloading temperature: 55 °C (131 °F)
  • Maximum loading/unloading temperature: 65 °C (149 °F)
  • Maximum storage temperature: 60 °C (140 °F) (50 °C recommended for long-term storage)
  • Do not reheat above 65 °C (149 °F).
  • Protect the product from contamination and follow standard lubricant additive handling practices.

Packaging

Infineum D1219 is available in standard industrial packaging and bulk quantities, depending on regional availability and customer requirements.
